Wes loves Jesus and lives to share the gospel with everyone he meets. After 15 years of youth ministry in Colorado—as both a pastor and a volunteer—he, his wife Katie, and their son Malakai felt called to Michigan to be part of what God is doing in Lake City. Wes has a deep passion to see every student, everywhere, hear the gospel from a friend, and he longs to see a generation of young people and families transformed by the love and grace of Jesus.

At Lake City CRC, Wes leads with a heart for students, kids, and families—praying that the church would be a catalyst for revival and spiritual renewal in the region. He’s driven by a vision of a gospel-saturated community where faith is lived out authentically at home, in school, on the field, and everywhere in between.

Wes and Katie are foster parents, and their home is a place of hospitality, care, and a tangible expression of the gospel. Wes brings a unique blend of energy, humor, and compassion to ministry. He’s a hard worker who finds joy in serving others, building relationships, and having fun along the way.

Outside of ministry, Wes enjoys being active—playing and watching sports (racquet sports), diving into strategy board games, and spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and exploring God’s creation with his family.
Wendy has been a member of our church and participating in our praise teams since 1999. She came on staff as our Worship Director in 2005, while continuing to teach music at Cadillac Heritage Christian School. In 2020, she began working at church full-time, continuing as worship director, and taking on an additional role of our Children's Ministry Director.

She works hand-in-hand with our pastor and worship ministry teams in planning our Sunday services. She also directs our praise band and strives to provide opportunities for our community to worship together in unity. She takes very seriously her role to create meaningful worship services, in order to help deepen people's relationship with God.

She works with our children's ministry team to create meaningful worship and discipleship opportunities for our children, their families, and our community. She is committed to training the next generation of worshippers and worship leaders.

Wendy is very passionately committed to each of the areas which God has called her, especially including being wife to Ross and mom to their six kids. Wendy feels very blessed, honored, and humbled to be used by God in each and every one of these areas. In her free time (Ha, ha!), she enjoys sport's cars, Hallmark movies, and playing games with her family.

Mark is a long-time member of LCCRC. He and his wife, Patti, have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Mark's hobbies include fishing, reading, and walking.

Mark desires to seek God's will for His church to grow in grace, knowledge, and relationship with Christ. His passion is developing small groups, discipling others, and sharing faith stories to strengthen and equip others in loving God.
