What gets bigger the more you give away? Your joy! God has designed it so that when you are generous and give of yourself, your time, your money, etc., you experience deeper joy. With gratitude comes contentment and trust that God will take care of you, too. It makes it easier to tune out the messages that you have to have more stuff to be happy. Instead, you can hear the words of Jesus who said, “You’re far happier giving than getting” and to trust him for meeting your needs.
