March 29, 2018 – Maundy Thursday – “Seeing Jesus: Remember Me”
The Passover was being re-enacted that night. The Lamb’s blood had been painted on the wood to atone for death and for the rescue of God’s people from slavery. It was all there in the bread and the cup, new covenant and kingdom come. On this night, we too will remember Jesus, our Savior, the Lamb of God sacrificed for us. We will remember the way of the kingdom is the way of surrender to God and service to others. How can we remember in a way that transforms us? Where are we vulnerable, like Peter, to forget and deny Jesus?
