MOPS

WHAT IS MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  It is an international organization designed to come alongside mothers of young children to encourage, equip and help them develop into the best mothers that God intended them to be!  MOPS is a group for moms of all different backgrounds — stay-at-home, working, single and married.  If you are expecting the arrival of a child or are currently the mother of a child (birth through kindergarten) then MOPS is for you!

We’d love for YOU to join us!

Our next MOPS meeting is…

FAQs

  • A delicious breakfast!
  • Relationship building and social time in an accepting small group atmosphere
  • Teaching time through a guest speaker or a video – both are geared specifically to moms with young children
  • Time with a Mentor Mom who has a willing ear and great advice
  • We like to try new things and be creative – so there will often be an opportunity to be creative if you so choose.

Yes! Our childcare program is more than just a drop off babysitter
We call it MOPS Kids, and it is an excellent program staffed by trained teachers who will nurture your kids in a preschool-like environment.
If you aren’t able to join us for our MOPS meetings for any reason, please note that we will have special events during the school-year outside of MOPS meetings as well as play dates and other fun events during the summer months and we would LOVE to have you join us! Be sure to follow us on Facebook for upcoming events!
To join us, or if you have any questions or need more information about Lake City Community MOPS, please contact our coordinator, Lacie Hejnal, via email at lakecitycommunityMOPS@gmail.com or via phone at 231-714-4033.
Our sweet little kiddos always need kind and compassionate caregivers during the MOPS meetings. The commitment is the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month September- May from 8:30-12:00 noon (only 2 mornings a month!). And, if you’re a snowbird, and can help in the fall but not the winter/spring, that’s okay, too! We’d love to have your help. If you’re interested in being a childcare volunteer  please contact our coordinator, Lacie Hejnal, at 231-714-4033 or via email at lakecitycommunityMOPS@gmail.com.
