MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  It is an international organization designed to come alongside mothers of young children to encourage, equip and help them develop into the best mothers that God intended them to be!  MOPS is a group for moms of all different backgrounds — stay-at-home, working, single and married.  If you are expecting the arrival of a child or are currently the mother of a child (birth through kindergarten) then MOPS is for you!

When we’re past the diaper years and sleeping through the night… When we’re meeting more emotional needs than physical ones… When we’re caught between our children needing us and not… It’s time for MOMSnext.

MOMSnext will shape you, ground you, teach you and encourage you. MOMSnext moms are going to be leading PTAs, starting groups, serving in churches, praying for schools, connecting with the community. They are entering a time of life where God wants them to thrive. It’s time for them to look up and see their bright future. Our hope is that MOMSnext will help moms hear God’s voice and look ahead together.

We’d love for YOU to join us!

Our next MOPS meeting is…

May 6

Due to COVID restrictions and childcare needs, pre-registration is required prior to attending LCC MOPS & MOMSnext. Please send an email to if you would like to begin attending. Our coordinator will respond promptly.

  • Time to socialize and build relationships during a delicious breakfast!
  • Time to get to know other moms in an accepting small group atmosphere.
  • Teaching time through a guest speaker or a video – both give practical tools and insight into the specific things that are important to you as a mother of young children.
  • Time with a Mentor Mom who has a willing ear and great advice.
  • We like to try new things and be creative – so there will often be an opportunity to be creative if you so choose.

Our sweet little kiddos always need kind and compassionate caregivers during the MOPS meetings. The commitment is the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month September- May from 8:30-12:00 noon (only 2 mornings a month!). And, if you’re a snowbird, and can help in the fall but not the winter/spring, that’s okay, too! We’d love to have your help. If you’re interested in being a childcare volunteer  please contact our coordinator, Lacie Hejnal, at 231-714-4033 or via email at
